Museum of of the birch
The house with an attic along located on Maxim Gorky str., 16. It was built in 1917.
The museum «Siberian birch bark» was opened in 2002. Author's works of modern Siberian artists and masters decorate an interior of the old house and wonderfully harmonize with it's external decoration. Now the museum «Siberian birch bark» is the unique exhibition centre possessing unique collection of subjects of arts and crafts creativity and products of the modern art from the birch.
It is possible to buy the author's works of modern masters there, executed in style of Russian and Siberian national crafts with use of the Siberian symbolics.
The Museum of Sun
This unique museum was founded in 1992.
More than 1500 exhibits devoted to the Sun are collected there.
There are national tradition illustrations of the image of the Sun and Solar system, the images of solar gods and Sun symbols in rock paintings of the ancient people, original products of applied creativity masters, devoted to the Sun.
Novosibirsk museum of railway technics of N.A.Akulinin
This open-air museum is located in the Soviet area near the station "Seyatel" at the railway Novosibirsk-Berdsk. The big collection of steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and cars which basically worked on railways of Western Siberia is situated at the museum. Besides, the collection includes Soviet trucks, tractors and cross-country vehicles of different years of release.
Exhibition «the Miracle under a microscope»
23 works of the master are presented at the Exhibition. There are classics of a genre: the grounded flea, camels in the needle's eye, inscription on the hair and other original works. For example, Winnie the pooh with friends on a cut of poppy seed, 31 planes on a cut of poppy seed and many other things. All works are executed exclusively manually under a microscope.
Novosibirsk zoo
Now the Novosibirsk zoo occupies the area of 53 hectares, about 11 000 individuals of 634 kinds of animals are kept in The zoo. More than 120 kinds of animals are in the International Red Book and About 180 kinds are in the Red Book of Russia and Regional Red Books.
Visit to The cultural centre "Siberia-Hokkaido"
6 years after signing the contract of sworn brotherhood between Novosibirsk and Sapporo, in 1996 was opened Municipal cultural centre "Siberia-Hokkaido".
The centre was created for strengthening communications with Sapporo, assistance to mutual understanding between Japan and Russia, by acquaintance with culture, language and traditions of the people of two countries, exchange development between Novosibirsk and Japan.
